What is a temporary building?

Our temporary building is the perfect alternative to time-consuming and costly fixed building construction. We are talking about a temporary structure that expands the possibilities of a company in the short term. This is possible in the area of production as well as with regard to storage or direct sales, which is why the construction is always modular. We will be happy to advise you.  

 

Why the term temporary building? We can answer this question easily. The framework of the temporary buildings we offer is usually made of aluminum or steel profiles, which have a low dead weight. The advantage lies in the easy transportability and in the fact that the assembly and, if desired, also the dismantling can be carried out in no time at all. Thus, the lightweight construction system is characterized by maximum flexibility. The metal scaffold is combined with special plastic tarpaulins or aluminum panels. Another advantage is that no foundation is required, which eliminates the need for time-consuming preparatory work. Finally, of course, the cost advantage is immense, thanks to the speed and the materials used.

How can temporary buildings be equipped?

In addition to the numerous optional design elements, our products always meet the same high standards in terms of quality. These are reflected in the individual elements of a building and can be implemented with different spans, lengths, heights as well as roof shapes.  

Roof and wall cladding

For the roof and wall cladding, individually selectable claddings in all possible RAL colors as well as shapes are possible. Among others, PVC tarpaulins, sandwich panels, trapezoidal profiles as well as various forms of interior tarpaulins and thermal roof tarpaulins can be selected.

Gates

The entrance gates, depending on the type of building, are either simple and functional or elaborate with electric control. There are sliding gates with tarpaulins, insulated sandwich panels or double-leaf with trapezoidal profile to choose from - but also rolling gates or insulated sectional gates.

Doors

With regard to doors, several options can be chosen both for the interior of a temporary building and for the way outside. The materials are steel or plastic, including a glass insert if desired.

Exposure

Naturally, daylight must not be missing and floods the interior through various window shapes. Shop windows are just as conceivable as light bands on walls and on the ridge or even working with a light dome. The incidence of light should be planned according to the requirements.

Lighting

Mobile or permanently installed - there are different approaches to lighting. Mobile luminaires are plugged into the supporting structure, while fixed luminaires are also suitable for damp rooms - in each case using economical LED technology.

Ground

Building without a foundation? This is easily possible by anchoring the floor either by dowels or by ground nails. Durability is given on various soils - from gravel to paving to asphalt and concrete. The lightweight system construction protects the soil and allows maximum site flexibility.

Buying a temporary building

Those who want to buy a prefabricated building benefit from fairly calculated fixed prices and secure a permanent solution. The advantage of buying is that the temporary building becomes part of the company's equipment in the long term and can, of course, be used in different ways and at different locations depending on the situation. The purchase is especially recommended in case of existing high liquidity and the desire to reduce the tax burden.

Our tip: Rent a temporary building

Our tip is to rent our temporary buildings. The advantage of the quickly erected constructions is their temporary character and the quick assembly and disassembly. This saves costs and preserves the liquidity of your company. Moreover, you determine exactly the period of time for which you want to use a temporary building.  

 

The rental price may include weather protection as well as protection against condensation and frost, including the maintenance of temperatures above 5°C.  Comprehensive theft protection is also possible. By the way: the longer the rental period, the lower the rental price, and the rent paid can of course be claimed as a business expense against tax. This is worthwhile!

Frequently asked questions about temporary buildings

Do I need a building application for temporary buildings?

Whether you need a building permit for a temporary building depends on the period of use. Up to six months are possible within the scope of "flying constructions" without a separate permit. We will be happy to advise you.

Does a temporary building need a foundation?

One of the advantages of a temporary building is that it does not require a foundation. It is fixed directly by dowels or ground nails and can be removed almost without leaving any residue. Strength is nevertheless given to the full extent.

Is it possible to deduct the construction of the building from taxes?

Both the rent and the purchase of a temporary building are operating costs and can be claimed against tax accordingly. It should be noted, however, that a purchase inevitably increases the operating assets and cannot be written off all at once.

How quickly can temporary buildings be erected?

Temporary buildings can literally be erected "in no time at all". A rule of thumb is a capacity of around 1,000 to 2,000 square meters of space in one week, depending on the building type, equipment features and assembly specifications.

Do I have to insure a temporary building?

It makes sense to insure a temporary building or its contents. Pay attention to underinsurance waiver and also check the insurance sum regularly. You can insure against fire, lightning, storm, hail and water damage, as well as theft, to name just a few examples.

How is fire protection implemented for temporary buildings?

The question of how individual fire protection is realized for temporary buildings can be answered by smoke detectors as well as escape doors and other accessories. Smoke warning systems in the roof (RWA) can always be included. We will be happy to advise you on the legal requirements.

Can I heat and/or air-condition a temporary building?
