By definition, a building built in solid construction could certainly also be included, but companies generally focus on lean processes and opt for lightweight construction. This also has the advantage that a corresponding building can be rented instead of purchased, thus reducing costs to a considerable extent.
In terms of dimensions, an industrial steel building offers heights of six meters and more, and is thus also available in multi-storey form. The area amounts to several hundred square meters, and here too there are various types of buildings. The construction is modular, so that both extensions and deconstruction are feasible. If, on the other hand, it is more a question of warehouses or production halls, a wall light strip or ridge light strip, but also roof domes, prove to be particularly energy-efficient.
Canopies
If an industrial building is made of steel, a canopy can also be integrated. This serves to protect against rain, but also for representative purposes. A gable wall or longitudinal roof covers areas of up to five meters in length, while a roof overhang is more for visual purposes.
Lighting
LED technology is recommended for lighting the interior. This is modern and contemporary and can also be adjusted in intensity and light temperature to individual needs. High-pressure sodium lamps are also possible outdoors.
Buying an industrial steel building is a recommendation especially if a company wants to reduce liquid funds. From a tax point of view, there are depreciation possibilities due to the investment, although the system building is of course also integrated into the company assets. The advantage, however, is the freedom of use and the long-term nature of the investment. Only the one-time purchase price is paid - afterwards, the industrial steel building can be used as desired and for decades in a flexible manner and at different locations.
Even if there are arguments in favor of a purchase, we advise most of our customers to rent an industrial steel building. The reason lies in the even simpler handling and the avoidance of superfluous storage capacities. In most cases, buildings are only needed for a clearly defined period of time. It is about the temporary extension of production capacities in case of a large order or the interim storage of goods etc.. If you rent an industrial steel building, you can have it removed after use, and there is no charge for its removal. Of course, the rent can also be fully claimed for tax purposes in the form of business expenses, so there are advantages at this level as well.
Part of a rental can also be insurance against temperatures below 5°C or frost, as well as condensation. Furthermore, we recommend and offer protection against theft.
Where can an industrial steel building be used?
According to the name, an industrial steel building is used in the industrial sector. However, if you define the term a little more broadly, you will also find it used in trade or logistics, as well as in various service industries. Why not use an industrial steel building as a training room? Or put products in the right light for customers? The possibilities are manifold. Industries include:

In most cases, a separate building application is not required to erect an industrial steel building. However, a distinction must be made as to how long the capacity will be used and whether it will be erected on its own or in combination with an existing building. In any case, the responsible authority should be consulted before delivery to be on the safe side.
One of the main arguments in favor of an industrial steel building is the possible elimination of a foundation. In this way, construction costs are reduced and the erection of the facility is much faster. Since only dowels and ground nails are used, an industrial steel building can also be dismantled again.
Of course, the construction of an industrial steel building is a business expense. It does not matter whether the purchase price or the monthly rental payments are declared for tax purposes. However, if you want to optimize your tax situation, consult a tax advisor to be on the safe side.
The time required to erect an industrial steel building can be measured in days and weeks. As a rule of thumb, up to 2,000 square meters of floor space can be erected per week. Experience has shown that this capacity is sufficient and that customers tend to request smaller dimensions.
The question of whether an industrial steel building "must" be insured is difficult to answer. What is certain, however, is that insurance against a number of events is generally possible and often advisable. We are talking about damage caused by natural forces or theft and vandalism, to name just a few possibilities.
Insulation or thermal insulation is particularly useful when industrial steel buildings are also equipped with heating or air conditioning. Whether this is necessary depends solely on the use and must therefore be decided on an individual basis. We will be happy to advise you.

If you wish, you can integrate a new industrial steel building into an existing building complex and expand it. Also possible are accesses or working with a canopy between several buildings. In the case of direct integration, a building permit may be required, which is otherwise sometimes not the case.
