What is a prefab building?

A MUCH prefab building is also a lightweight hall, because the material used is characterized by low dead weight. As a result, it can be erected in no time at all and is easy to assemble, which can be done without digging a foundation beforehand. prefab buildings are available in various formats and adapt to your individual needs. In addition, existing prefab buildings can be expanded or reconstructed at will to meet changing requirements.

 

Why a prefab building? It has to do with the fact that this building material has proven itself in the production of hall systems. Trapezoidal shapes are used, which are additionally galvanized. In this way, the durability increases and, in addition, sheet metal can be easily shaped in the production process. The structure consists of a combination of sheet metal combined with steel girders. This plus in static strength is further increased by the trapezoidal shape. At the same time, the use of sheet metal elements also proves to be flexible in construction and cost-effective in transport.

How can the prefab buildings be equipped?

When it comes to lighting, there is a wide choice. Energy-saving LED technology is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and, of course, the right light can also be provided in damp rooms.

Our prefab buildings score with plenty of daylight and efficient lighting. This can be achieved by integrating windows, display windows or even a wall light strip or ridge light strip. For daylight from above, a light dome is also conceivable.

Frequently asked questions about prefab buildings

Do I need a building application for a prefab building?

Prefab buildings can often be erected without a prior building application. It is recommended to check with the respective authorities beforehand. Permission is not required for "temporary buildings" that are erected for less than six months or, in some cases, for prefab buildings that are only used for storage, are free-standing and do not have a fireplace or heating system.  

What are the standard sizes?

To speak of standard sizes for a prefab building is somewhat difficult. It is rather the case that exactly the wishes of the customers are followed and, accordingly, prefabricated products are rarely delivered. The lengths can be up to 40 meters, and the height can be over five meters if desired. Construction is carried out with grid elements.  

Does a prefab building need a foundation?

A prefab building is built of light trapezoidal sheet metal and therefore does not require a foundation. This is even a special feature, because only lightweight construction can ensure short delivery times and favorable prices. Fastening is done with dowels and ground nails.

How quickly can prefab buildings be erected?

Prefab buildings are erected in a few days and weeks. Areas between 1,000 and 2,000 square meters per week are possible, which is usually already sufficient as the required capacity.
